Anti-Ageing

The Secret of feeling fabulous, and looking years younger!
“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; For beautiful lips speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge you are never alone.” Audrey Hepburn
Anti-ageing is not just about appearing to look younger, its about re-capturing the youthful energy and vitality, and this is the secret of how we are very much in control of the ageing process.
One of our first line defences against ageing are Antioxidants Nutrients, substances that may protect your cells against the effects of free radicals. Free radicals are molecules produced when your body breaks down food, or by environmental exposures like tobacco smoke and radiation. Free radicals can damage cells, and may play a role in heart disease, cancer and other diseases.
Many of the changes that occur as our bodies age are caused by free radicals. Damage to DNA, protein cross linking and other changes have been attributed to free radicals. Over time, this damage accumulates and causes us to experience ageing.
Antioxidants are nature’s rejuvenators, fruits and vegetables are packed full of them, bright coloured pomegranate, butternut squash, broccoli, carrots, mango, strawberries, blueberries, and cherries all sparkling away like precious gemstones.
Researchers from Monash University in Australia found people who ate the most fruits and vegetables had the fewest wrinkles!
Fruits and Vegetables are all rich in vitamin C, and plant antioxidants, which are essential for collagen strength and repair.
Collagen is the key structural protein of the skin. Adding vitamin C to a culture of skin cells dramatically increases the synthesis of collagen. Secondly, vitamin C is an antioxidant and can help reduce skin damage caused by free radicals. So, when vitamin C is properly delivered to skin cells, there is a good chance to reduce wrinkles and improve skin texture.
