The UK Dietary Reference Intake (DRI) per day for calcium is:
1-6 year olds: 350-400mg
7-10 year olds: 350-550mg
Teenage Boys: 1000mg
Teenage Girls: 800mg
Adults: 700mg
Men & Women over 45: 1500mg
Pregnancy & Breast feeding: 1200mg
Women on HRT: 1000mg
As one serving of dairy product provides ~300mg of calcium, those who do not consume enough calcium from food sources alone, may need calcium supplements to meet their daily requirement.
As a company we always recommend taking in combination with Magnesium, and at least 1000iu of vitamin D.
