Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia)
Research has been undertaken into the effects of tea tree on candida and other vaginal infection and it has been shown to be an excellent anti-fungal and antibacterial agent herb. Put tea tree oil on the tip of a tampon and insert it into your vagina, put tea tree on a panty liner or towel, or dampen cotton wool with tea tree (mixed with water) and gently wipe around the vaginal area.
Tea Tree pesseries can be use to control minor irritations use one pessary daily for 6 consecutive days. In severe cases use morning and evening for up to 28 days. For maximum effect, a douche using Thursday Plantation’s 15% Tea Tree Oil (1 cap full in 100ml of water) may be used before inserting pessary; every second day, up to 4 separate occasions.
Organic Live Yoghurt
Organic Live yoghurt, rich in probiotics. The idea is you can use the yoghurt topically, inserting it into the vagina using a tampon, or you can increase your dietary intake of yoghurt or probiotic supplements. Some women do find yoghurt has a cool soothing effect. It’s safe to use yoghurt for this purpose, but make sure it’s plain Bio yoghurt.
